Five for Friday and 3D Shape Clipart

It's my favorite day of the week!   FRIDAY!!!!  I only had a 4 day week and it was a nice day to ease back into school after Spring Break.  Tonight I am sharing my Friday Five with Doodle Bugs Teaching.

1. No Weekly Tests leads to Fabulous Lessons!

This week we did not have a weekly reading test/lesson because it was a short week and unit test time.  With this extra teaching time and no "canned curriculum" I took advantage of those teachable moments and the students learned so much!  I was able to teach and reteach fun math skills like money, time and measurement hands-on, within themed lessons and make learning fun!  One of the best lessons was tied into the classic "Caps For Sale".  I am doing a post on it later this week so check back.

2. Freebie Friday at TBA is on Steroids!

Teaching Blog Addict is celebrating their 2nd birthday with so many fabulous freebies all in one place.  The best part is they have them sorted by grade level for you already.  If you check out the 1st and 2nd grade freebies you will see a few from me hidden amongst 430+ freebies just for 1st and 2nd!  So add colored printer ink to your list and head on over!

3. My First Clip Art Collection

I was looking for clip art for a unit I was working on and couldn't find quite what I wanted.  So I decided to try and make it myself.  I think it turned out pretty cute for my first attempt.  

I gave you a peek last week, but I didn't have them saved just right.  There are 28 png files in the pack and all are 300 dpi.  You can use them for personal and commercial use (just lock them down) and even powerpoint and smartboard files.  You can get them at here at TpT and if you download the free preview file you get the color 3D shapes FREE!

4. Wine Down Wednesday

I discovered a great girls night out in town at our pottery painting place.  Every Wednesday night they have Wine Down Wednesday.  It is for adults only, you get together with your best girlfriends and paint pottery for 3 hours.  They provide pizza and you bring your own wine!!!  What could be better than this?  I made a wine glass this time so I can use it for my future trips.  My glass turned out great!  It says "Only 1 Glass... Many Refills!"  It is perfect!

5. A Fantabulous Idea (I hope...)

I had a light bulb go off today with a great idea.  I'm getting the gears in motion to see what I can make of it.  No hints yet, but when it comes together you will be the first to know!!!!
